Patrick’s Tmun has been appointed’best of’ books since launching in 2005. Located just beyond the core of Victoria, this restaurant is a breath of fresh air when compared to another areas that are monotonous throughout Gozo. Contemporary décor praise the Mediterranean fusion dishes that are savory that the restaurant is known for. A collection of starters, soups, pastas, steaks and seafood contains the menu, but sadly most of us have only 1 tummy, so pace yourself!
Dishes are infused, marinated, experienced, drizzled and plated with various methods to guarantee the same result every single time – plates in a fun. Patrick’s Tmum also boasts an impressive wine list that its owner, Patrick Buttigieg, is not reluctant to brag about. Grab a seat in the cocktail bar as you wait for a table for two and explore the menu that is tantalizing.
Patrick’s Tmum is open for dinner Monday to Saturday 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm, also for supper (winter only) from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Advance booking is recommended.

Since 1973 Il-Kartell has been a trusted name around the island. The restaurant is located inches from the water from Marsalforn and specializes in local recipes. Having a strong focus on superb fresh local produce, Mr. Spiteri and his group craft beautiful dishes from Gozo’s seasonal bounty. The menu includes cold and hot starters, soups, stews, salads and naturally fresh-caught seafood. The air here is family-friendly and among the dining table, dishes can be shared in true Mediterranean style.
Guests can dine al fresco, which provides the opportunity for people watching across the promenade as well as unobstructed views of the sea to them. Inside, diners can experience broad arches the rustic décor and relaxing setting of a boathouse that is antique. The meals should be savored with the time on the planet, although the service in Il-Kartell is polite and prompt.
Save room for dessert and remember to pair your meal like a red from the Ta’ Mena Estate with a bottle of local wine. There are several seaside restaurants in Gozo, but few have had over 39 decades of (very) satisfied clients like Il-Kartell. Advance booking is necessary. Check the web site for times, as they change with the time.
